It is always worth coming to Salzburg! And if you don’t have much time, then my turbo-programme is just right for you. Because you can also enjoy the true flair of Salzburg in a very short period of time if you manage to find the right spot in the city. How about taking the lift up to the Museum der Moderne on Mönchsberg, a walk down the steep hill (including a breath-taking view!) and then an original Salzburg Bosna sausage and a white wine spritzer on the terrace of the Café Bazar to reward yourself? Then visit the Das Kino cinema to watch an independent film before strolling home through the old town to think about the day gone by. Sounds like a perfect stay in Salzburg if you ask me!

Culinary delights for insiders

The original Salzburg Bosna, already mentioned above (and which may only be referred to as such), a white wine spritzer (accompanied by the best cheese dumplings in the city) and a cake from the unique Konditorei Ratzka are, to my mind, the quintessence of Salzburg as far as food is concerned. The mouth of every Salzburg local begins to water just at the mention of these treats!

You definitely have to visit a museum in a city so full of culture. You can find the highlights below. But, although relatively small, Salzburg can still be recommended for all cineasts! Then Das Kino in the heart of the old town exclusively shows valuable films which are not the typical blockbusters – 2 hours which are definitely well invested!

Places in Salzburg to (briefly) linger

With all the hustle and bustle that such a short trip can bring, there are plenty of places in Salzburg that invite you to linger and enjoy the flair of the city. After all, that is just what the people of Salzburg do when they come to the Café Bazar on the banks of the River Salzach to have a cup of coffee and "watch the people”. If you prefer to look at magnificently laid out gardens, then sit down on a bench in the Mirabell Gardens with a handful of Mozart chocolates from the Konditorei Fürst and simply enjoy the sight. That much time should be possible!
