Concept Stores in Salzburg

12.12.2018

The places where shopping is still fun these days have become rare. Shopping centres and shopping streets are overcrowded, the selection is very similar everywhere and online there is a certain something missing – no sign of a personal touch or a clever sales assistant who understands your needs.

But a certain trend has been picking up speed for some time now and improving our shopping experience. So-called concept stores are gradually opening up all over Austria and redefining shopping. No matter if you are foodies, hobby interior designers or fashion trend-setters, you will find all your must-haves in shops which often combine a mixture of different concepts.

I've already told you here which concept stores you have to visit in Vienna. Now it's Salzburg's turn, which can easily keep up with Vienna. In the historic city there's a lot going on in terms of modern shopping, food and art - and you can feel it!

Food reinvented

These locations are a real alternative to the traditional Salzburg cuisine. Newly interpreted Mexican classics, designer furniture in the restaurant and the so-called Panzerhalle – all very worth seeing! Because it is well known that food should also appeal to the eye.

She is not only inspired by regular visits to the various farmers’ markets and regional producers, but also in her favourite Viennese coffee houses. And when the city gets a little bit too loud, then she off she goes out into the countryside with Ferdinand, her dog!
