Linz in Advent

A quiet retreat instead of a pushing crowd. Thanks to the special arrangement of the stalls, from 20 November to 24 December 2021 visitors can enjoy Advent in peace and quiet and relax beneath the Christmas tree with its twinkling lights.

From 20 November to 24 December 2021, the traditional market in the Volksgarten is dedicated entirely to the art of woodworking: moving nativity scenes, wooden xylophone and creating handicrafts with a crank drill delight not only the young visitors at Advent.

At the Advent at the Cathedral you can expect a colorful mix of Christmas program. From November 25 to December 23, 2022, you can listen to gospel choirs and organ music or make Advent wreaths. On Saturdays and Sundays, children can look forward to extra activities. A special plus: this market pays a lot of attention to sustainability.
