Kitzbühel is fashionable. Kitzbühel is chic. Kitzbühel is ski stars with blow-dried hairstyles and the Wilder Kaiser mountains. But there are also corners where the city and its surroundings tick differently. Galleries, concept stores, young cafés, power places in the middle of nature unknown to tourists. We have breakfast at the Horn, drink the best wine in Tyrol at the Angereralm and buy souvenirs in a porcelain workshop. We also include the real classics!
If you go shopping in the “Gamsstadt” (“chamois city”, so-called as the chamois is the symbol of Kitzbühel) you will certainly meet some originals. For example Franz Prader, the charming master tailor who already knows the measurements of half of Hollywood. Or Barbara Schmidt, the craftswoman who makes fine porcelain. Let's go for a stroll through the alpine town!
From a culinary point of view, Kitzbühel has a colourful mixture. Tyrolean home cooking at the Resterhöhe mountain hut tastes just as good as tuna sashimi in the Bergdiele in the town centre. You just have to know where to go. We have the best restaurant and foodie spots in town!
Young art in hidden galleries. Pop project spaces. A museum with ancient sledges and skis. Kitzbühel's art world is not as big as the one in Paris. But if you don't experience it, you'll miss something big.
Once around the Schwarzsee and then back up again to the Hahnenkamm is not enough. We want to experience natural adventures in Kitzbühel! But something out of the ordinary and also something for if you are travelling with kids please. To a soft breakfast egg on the Horn for example. Or to the romantic moor lake in the middle of the forest ...
