Ljubljana’s artistic and trendy meeting places

An empty barracks complex is the creative heart of Ljubljana. Countless colourful graffiti, paintings and sculptures characterise the alternative art and cultural centre right next to the railway station. Make sure you plan an evening here. With its many bars and clubs it is the perfect place for a relaxing time!

The Tozd is not just a relaxing café, where a bike dangles from the ceiling and antipasti are served at the table.  It is also an exhibition space for young artists. A feel-good location and perfect for the aperitivo. 

The former cigarette factory is now a meeting place for fans of urban culture and a lively venue for events. When the weather is nice, you'll find most of the visitors in the garden. The trendy restaurant ČinČin offers a bad-weather alternative instead. Gallery 001 is right next door, where contemporary artists - who are also allowed to live on site - exhibit their works. You could almost say that the Tobačna is its own little creative town.
