Running events in Salzburg

What Vienna can do, Salzburg can do just as well, if not better. Namely to get the ladies to the start. The Women’s Run in May takes place in Salzburg's Volksgarten, is 5.5 kilometres long and the route mainly follows the River Salzach. Those who want to take it easy can take part in the walking competition! The most important thing: enjoying the movement together as well as the city of Mozart.

The "Mozart City Running Festival," or #salzburgmarathon, as the youngsters tag it! The marathon in May is the city's major international sports event. The athletes come from all over the world and cross narrow alleys, pass historic buildings and run through natural surroundings on the outskirts of the city. The highlight is the finish in front of the Salzburg Festival Hall.
