Arts & Culture

There’s plenty for lovers of art and architecture to see in Graz. Whether it’s historic buildings such as the cathedral or modern edifices like Kunsthaus Graz – the Styrian capital presents a harmonic and visually appealing blend of architectural styles that spans many different centuries. Graz makes its mark on the international cultural scene with the annual  steirischer herbst  festival of contemporary art and the La Strada festival of street art.

For some other exciting perspectives on Graz take a walk up the Schlossberg hill. You’ll be treated to magnificent views over the city and it’s also the home of one of Graz’s most well-known landmarks, the Uhrturm clock tower. Along with the Glockenturm belfry, the Uhrturm formed part of the fortifications that stood on Schlossberg until the beginning of the 19th century.
