Sights in Hietzing – Vienna’s 13th district

If you check in at Hotel Maximilian, you reside in one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods of Austria’s capital. Hietzing, Vienna’s 13th district, is known for its beautiful historic mansions and villas – and also for its many green areas. A true visitors magnet is nearby Schönbrunn Palace. With its lavish interior, it attracts lovers of culture and the arts from all over the world. But that’s far from everything that the surrounding area of the Austria Trend Hotel has to offer.

Our event tip: ROCK ME AMADEUS - THE FALCO MUSICAL

ROCK ME AMADEUS will celebrate its world premiere at the Ronacher in Vienna. The latest VBW in-house production is a homage to the exceptional Austrian artist Hans Hölzel. A spectacular and at the same time touching new musical with an impressive stage show, rousing choreography - and of course Falco's unforgettable music.

With our early bird special you can look forward to a gripping musical evening including a night in one of our Austria Trend Hotels as well as an Austrian breakfast!

Moreover musical fans receive a 10% discount on their overnight stay in our Austria Trend Hotels in Vienna.

Must-sees in nearby Schönbrunn

What would a trip to Vienna be without a visit to Schönbrunn Palace? In 1996, the summer residence of the Austrian imperial family was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site – and it continues to fascinate visitors with its pompous interior and geometrically aligned gardens. Coming from Hotel Maximilian, you can enter the park and gardens by crossing the “Hietzinger Tor” (gate). Among the highlights on site: the Gloriette, the Palm House, the Orangery and, of course, Schönbrunn Zoo.

Quarter intel: Hietzing

You’d like to explore the posh district of Hietzing? We recommend you start your tour right outside the hotel’s doorstep – visiting the many charming locations on and near Hietzinger Main Street. How about a frothy Viennese Melange at Café Dommayer, for instance? Altgasse and Maxingstraße with lots of little shops and restaurants like the Waldemar are well worth a visit too.
