From there, the heart of the old town with all the major sights is just a few minutes’ walk. After you’ve seen St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Imperial Treasuries, the lively atmosphere of the MuseumsQuartier provides a nice contrast. It’s bursting with culture here too, as it’s the site of the Leopold Museum and mumok museum of modern art, which regularly showcase the work of world-famous artists.

All corners of the city are easily accessible thanks to the hotel’s excellent public transport links. Hop on the underground, tram or bus to see Vienna’s other cultural highlights such as Schönbrunn Palace, or the picturesque rolling hills of the vineyards and woods on the outskirts of town.

A short walk through the green Rathauspark: Rathausstraße – Universitätsstraße – University – City Hall – Dr. Karl Renner Statue – Burgtheater – Karl Seitz Statue – Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller Monument


The route leads along the Rathausstraße to the university, past the City Hall and Dr. Ing. Karl Renner Statue, along the Rathauspark to the Burgtheater, past the Karl Seitz Statue as well as the Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller Monument and back to the hotel.

A relaxed Danube Canal tour: Votive Church – Sigmund-Freud-Park – Maria-Theresien-Straße – Augarten Bridge – Johannes-Nepomuk-Chapel – Wilhelm-Kienzl-Park – Aspern Bridge – Schwedenplatz – Danube Canal


Past the Votive Church, through the Sigmund-Freud-Park onto Maria-Theresien-Straße, past the Stock Exchange, over the Augarten Bridge, past the Johannes-Nepomuk-Chapel, through the Wilhelm-Kienzl-Park, over the Aspern Bridge, along the Danube Canal and past the Schwedenplatz.

Route C - Training with Sightseeing

6.4 km (approx 44 min)
This route leads along the entire ring road: University – Schottentor – Schwedenplatz – Urania – Radetzky Monument – City Park – Schwarzenbergplatz – Opera – Burggarten – Heldenplatz – Volksgarten – Rathauspark


Walk down the ring road and admire the many well-known sights and buildings. Past the university to Schottentor, Schwedenplatz and Urania. Past the Radetzky Monument, through the City Park to Schwarzenbergplatz, past the opera and Burggarten, across Heldenplatz and along the Volkgarten. Through Rathauspark back to the hotel.
